HOW CAN HYDROTHERAPY HELP

Hydrotherapy is a form of therapeutic exercise conducted in the pool under the supervision of a physiotherapist. By using the water’s buoyancy, you can complete pain-free movements that can assist in restoring your function and range of movement.

Our approach to hydrotherapy means exercises are tailored to improve your mobility, movement skills, muscle strength, flexibility and fitness to help you achieve your movement-related goals.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQs)

Can I use my NDIS funding for physiotherapy?

You’ll need to be either plan-managed or self-manage your NDIS plan to receive services from us. If you're unsure, chat to your support coordinator to find out if you can access physiotherapy under your plan.

What can I expect during my sessions?

When you see us for the first time, we will ask you or your support person questions about your health. We will also find out about your goals. We then tell you how we can help you achieve your goals. You may want to move better, have better balance, improve your coordination, or do exercises in a safe and supportive environment.

My disability isn't listed on this page, can you work with me?

Physiotherapists are trained to work with people of all ability levels. We have worked with people who are wheelchair-bound with very little mobility, all the way to lower-limb amputees who play elite sports.

Can you travel to see me?

We prefer not to travel, but we can discuss on a case by case basis. This is because we have a range of exercise equipment at the clinic. We sometimes meet participants at the pool for hydrotherapy.

Can you give me a service agreement?

Yes we can.

Can you provide reports to the NDIS?

Yes we can.
